To become an IBEW apprentice, you must meet basic requirements like being at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and a passing algebra grade. The application process involves finding a local training center, submitting an application with required documents, taking and passing an aptitude test, and then interviewing with a panel.

Ibew 855 Journeyman Wireman
An IBEW Journeyman Wireman is a skilled electrician who has completed an apprenticeship and can work without supervision, installing and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings. They are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and have a Code of Excellence that emphasizes safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship. This role includes installing equipment like lighting and motors, running conduit, and performing maintenance and repairs on existing systems.
